Course Overview

As interpreters we are frequently called to provide service in settings with high emotional content. We often work with survivors of trauma and serve a crucial role in connecting them with services and providers.

Unfortunately, we may not always be appropriately prepared to provide service in a way that is trauma informed.

This course is the first step in understanding Trauma, its effects on us as humans, as interpreters, and the populations we serve.
